Pre-treatments

Before the coating process starts, the underground has to be free from dust, dirt, grease and corrosion residues. After the manufacturing process the surface of the parts is contaminated with these kinds of impurities, therefore a cleaning process has to take place. Insufficient coating results can be the consequence of bad executed pre-treatment of the parts. That is why the pre-treatment is an important step within the work process.

Depending on the basic material and our customers’ requirements different methods of pre-treatment can be applied:

  • (High tempered) Degreasing
  • Phosphating
  • Purging (demineralized, purified water)
  • Passivating
  • Pickling (aluminum, stainless steel)
  • Neutralization
  • Conversion coating (chromium-free)
  • Blasting (min. level of purity SA 2,5 – DIN EN ISO 8501)
  • Filling/Stopping
  • Grinding
  • Brushing
  • Polishing

According to the size of the parts the (high tempered) degreasing can take place in the fully automated small component washing plant, in the half automated washing plant or in a manual way with a high-pressure cleaner in the washing hall for bigger parts.

For the selection of the suitable pre-treatment method customer requirements and recommendations of the paint manufacturer are respected. Please contact us. We will be pleased to advise you in order to commonly find the suitable pre-treatment for your needs.
